The Accommodation Station Implementation Tool
Choose an accommodation, grade or program level, and setting to see how the support can look in real life.
Ready when you are.
Select the three main fields, then generate an implementation example.
How to Use This Tool
Use the result as a starting point for planning, team discussion, parent communication, or classroom implementation. The best support is specific, respectful, and matched to the student's actual access need.
Important Note
This tool provides educational support ideas only. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis, a clinical evaluation, legal advice, or a substitute for an IEP team, 504 team, medical provider, or qualified professional.
FAQ
I cannot find the accommodation I need.
Try searching a shorter word, like "time," "visual," "sensory," "writing," or "test." If it is still missing, use the request box and send it to The Accommodation Station.
The result says the accommodation is not typical. What does that mean?
It means the accommodation is not commonly used in that setting or grade level. The tool will still explain when it might apply and suggest better related supports.
Is this medical advice or a diagnosis?
No. This tool provides educational support ideas only. It does not diagnose, evaluate, treat, or replace advice from a medical, mental health, legal, or educational professional.
Can I copy this into an IEP or 504 plan?
You can use the wording as a starting point, but the student's IEP or 504 team should review and personalize it.
Why do the grade and setting choices move around?
The tool puts more likely matches near the top after you choose an accommodation. Less common choices are still available.
Does this tool save student information?
No. This free static version runs in the browser and does not store student information or send entries anywhere.
Free IEP and 504 Accommodation Examples by Setting
This free accommodation implementation tool helps educators, families, and support teams turn an accommodation into a practical plan for a specific grade level and setting. It can be used for classroom routines, testing, hallway transitions, cafeteria routines, home support, virtual learning, transportation, and transition services.
Accommodation vs. Modification
An accommodation changes how a student accesses learning, materials, routines, or assessment. A modification changes what the student is expected to learn or complete. This tool focuses on accommodations and implementation examples, not diagnosis, medical advice, legal advice, or replacement for team decisions.
Common Types of Accommodations
Common accommodation types include presentation supports, response supports, timing and scheduling supports, setting supports, assistive technology, executive functioning supports, sensory supports, communication supports, behavior and regulation supports, medical supports, and transition supports.
How Teams Can Use the Results
Teams can use the generated example to discuss what the support looks like, who provides it, what materials are needed, how the student can request it, what success looks like, and how the support may be faded when independence increases.
